Reshaping Manufacturing with Sustainability

We are on a mission to transform the manufacturing industry, setting a new standard for sustainability. In this article, we explore how our light electric motorcycle, the STILRIDE 1, is pushing the boundaries of eco-friendly transportation. Additionally, our innovative STILFOLD technology is leading a paradigm shift in sheet metal manufacturing, creating a circular, fully digitized, and easily implementable value chain.

STILRIDE 1 A Sustainable Marvel

The STILRIDE 1, a groundbreaking electric motorcycle, is at the heart of our sustainability efforts. Priced at €15,000, each bike is meticulously custom-crafted and made-to-order in our Stockholm workshop, with delivery scheduled for 2024. The inaugural series, known as the “Limited Founders Edition,” features individually numbered motorcycles with sleek black fenders and details. Stay tuned for an official release date announcement later this summer, and early access opportunities for shareholders and community members this spring, available on the STILRIDE website.

Design and Technology Updates for STILRIDE 1

In our commitment to optimizing rider experience and ecologically sustainable manufacturing, we have introduced significant design and technology updates for STILRIDE 1. These enhancements focus on delivering a superior riding experience and promoting environmentally conscious production.

Innovations in Chassis, Saddle, Brakes, and More

The final design updates encompass various aspects of the STILRIDE 1, including:

Chassis: Our ultra-lightweight chassis, crafted using STILFOLD technology, has been further refined, making it even sleeker and more sustainable. It is constructed from recycled Swedish steel.

Saddle: The saddle boasts a streamlined design with added comfort features, such as soft padding and suspension for ergonomic comfort.

Brakes: Our braking system, co-developed with ISR, integrates the master cylinder into the handlebar for a clean look and features ABS (anti-lock braking system) provided by Continental.

Rear Suspension: The motorcycle features a single shock absorber and multi-link system for improved handling.

Motor: Equipped with a premium HUB motor system.

Craftsmanship

The STILRIDE 1 is exclusively made-to-order in our Stockholm-based pilot production facility. The “Limited Founders Edition” model features a stainless steel chassis with black details.

Connectivity

A bespoke Electric Vehicle Control Unit (eVCU) powers various features through the STILCONTROL app, including theft protection, GPS positioning, service diagnostics, and battery status monitoring. Spearheading a paradigm shift in green steel production and sustainable fabrication solutions.

Synergy of STILFOLD Technology

STILFOLD technology, complementing our STILRIDE 1, spearheads a revolution in sheet metal manufacturing. By creating a circular, fully digitized, and easily implementable value chain, it optimizes construction, reduces energy consumption, and enables local production.

Using a single sheet of stainless steel, laser cut, and folded like origami, STILFOLD technology exemplifies minimal material usage, efficient construction, and minimal waste generation.

Our flexible production units, empowered by partners, enable local production, reducing emissions, speeding up prototyping, and cutting logistic costs and environmental impact. Toolless robotic folding further enhances flexibility and cost-efficiency, even for short production runs.
