Are you in search of the perfect urban transportation solution? Look no further than electric scooters! Combining practicality, ease of use, affordability, and fuel efficiency, they’re extremely practical, easy to ride, and cheap to buy and maintain. Scooters have become the go-to choice for city dwellers living in urban cities. When it comes to sustainable mobility, electric scooters reign supreme, offering an impressive range and eco-friendly operation. And in terms of performance, electric scooters tend to offer a total range of 75 miles on a single charge.

Enter Albert Ebenbichler, a visionary German designer and mechanical engineer, also known as a scooter aficionado. Recognizing a common limitation in scooter design: the lack of storage space beneath the seat, Albert decided to design and engineer a unique solution. Determined to address this issue, he set out to create his own groundbreaking electric scooter, driven by the principles of utility and the sheer joy of transport. The result? A true German innovation, the magnificent Fat Albert, an electric scooter that could be aptly described as a storage compartment on wheels. Albert Ebenbichler created Fat Albert, a fat Albert scooter, with maximum practicality in mind.

The Fat Albert e-scooter is the first e-scooter designed with a 70 l storage capacity—70 liters, to be precise. That’s enough space to accommodate two suitcases, rivaling those ride-on suitcases you see at airports. However, the added storage comes at the expense of some accessibility. Worth noting, the Fat Albert does depart from the conventional step-through frame design of scooters. Instead, you’ll need to swing a leg over it, resembling the maneuver of mounting a conventional motorcycle. But fear not, as the scooter’s seat height is low enough for riders of all heights.

Under the hood, the Fat Albert boasts a three-kilowatt electric motor, peaking at an impressive four horsepower. Its battery tech consists of a pair of 60-volt, 20-ampere-hour battery packs, providing a remarkable range of 75 miles on a single charge. With a top speed of approximately 28 miles per hour, it falls within the category of vehicles licensable with a standard class B car license or a Class AM license for young riders aged 15 to 16. Furthermore, recharging the batteries is a breeze, taking just four hours via a standard household socket.

The innovation and ingenuity of engineer Albert Ebenbichler and his Fat Albert scooter have garnered well-deserved recognition. The German Innovation Award 2023 has nominated Fat Albert for its inventive design and practical mobility. As the end of May 2023 approaches, Albert anxiously awaits the results, hoping to secure victory. Furthermore, the Fat Albert is poised to enter production, offering four different variants to suit various preferences. The base model, priced at 4,970 Euros ($5,371 USD), is set to hit the market in June 2023, promising an exciting new era of urban transportation.
