German startup NOVUS has made waves in the electric motorcycle industry by presenting its first premium electric motorcycle, a groundbreaking vehicle constructed entirely from carbon fiber. Unlike conventional motorcycles, this model bears a striking resemblance to an electric bicycle, featuring a hollow frame and mountain bike-style handlebars.
The motorcycle is meticulously handcrafted, with nearly all its parts constructed from carbon fiber. The frame, in particular, is a single piece with a hollow central section housing the battery kit. Surprisingly, this incredibly lightweight frame weighs a mere 6.9 kg and is designed for a single rider, accommodating individuals up to 125 kg in weight.

According to NOVUS, this electric motorcycle claims the title of the world’s first super-light premium electric motorcycle, transcending traditional notions of transportation. Another remarkable feature of this model is its mono-fork front suspension, offering 100 mm of travel. Complemented by carbon fiber wheels, the motorcycle’s total weight is a mere 80 kg, including the battery.

The vehicle is powered by a 4.3 kW/h, 100 V battery, providing an impressive city range of 130 km, as claimed by the company.

NOVUS’s electric motorcycle features Full-LED lighting and a fully digital panel with multiple power modes and access via a mobile app. The three available power modes include Basic (7 kW, max speed 90 km/h), Super (11 kW, max speed 110 km/h), and God (30 kW, max speed 130 km/h). The mobile app allows users to unlock the motorcycle via NFC, eliminating the need for a traditional key.
Booking and Pricing
Excitingly, NOVUS is now available for booking in Germany, with deliveries scheduled to commence in October 2022. The starting price for this groundbreaking electric motorcycle is €29,900, plus a 19% VAT, totaling €35,580.
