Embarking on a challenging journey from January 5th to 19th, Tacita’s two Discanto motorcycles will undergo rigorous testing in the desert—a real outdoor laboratory setting, evaluating their remarkable energy efficiency. Tacita’s technology, meticulously designed, developed, produced, and evaluated in extreme environments, sets the stage for groundbreaking innovation in the electric motorcycle industry.
Cutting-Edge Racing Technology
Competing with two motorcycles, TACITA FORMULA CORSA brings a full team of skilled mechanics, electric, and electronic experts to Dakar 2024. The bikes, weighing 180 kg each, boast a new frame and a sophisticated balance of battery packs, enhancing weight distribution and achieving an intentionally limited top speed of 150 km/h.
Innovative Features of Tacita Electric Motorcycles
Tacita’s distinctive technology includes a revolutionary BATTERY SWAP system, enabling quick replacements with fully charged batteries during race breaks, like the “Dakar pace.” This feature not only allows for longer stages but also paves the way for a more sustainable future. Beyond this, Tacita motorcycles feature a five-speed mechanical gearbox, liquid cooling for the engine and controller, and an advanced battery management system (BMS).
Dakar Rally Return
After an impressive debut in 2020, TACITA FORMULA CORSA returns to the Dakar rally, having made history as the first to present an electric motorcycle in the competition. Motivated by successful tests, the team aims for full participation in the race by 2024. In addition to their 100% electric vehicles, the team introduces a “NO NOISE / NO CO2” racing area, powered by the T-STATION from TACITA—a mobile, self-sufficient energy solution utilizing solar panels, wind generators, and hydrogen.
