Energica is the sustainable subsidiary of CRP Group, renowned for its cutting-edge technologies and over 45 years of innovation in CNC Machining and Additive Manufacturing with advanced laser sintering materials Windform. Their roots in racing run deep, as Energica is part of the esteemed CRP Group, which has been a pioneer in the world of international motorsports since 1970. This rich history and passion for the sector have fueled their drive to excel and innovate.
Under the leadership of CEO Livia Cevolini, Energica has made significant strides in the field of electric motorcycles. Her vision and expertise have contributed to their success as a leading player in the industry.
From 2006, when CRP Racing was established as the racing department of CRP Technology, to their participation in major Italian trophies from 2007 to 2010, they have achieved numerous victories and notable placements, including the 125cc MotoGP World Championship. In 2010, they embarked on an innovative project in electric motorcycles, creating the eCRP racing motorbike that competed in the first world zero carbon championship TTXGP and the e-Power FIM Championship. Their e-CRP became the runner-up World Champion in 2011 and European Champion in 2010 for electric racing motorcycles.
In recognition of their excellence in racing, Energica was chosen by Dorna in 2018 as the sole manufacturer for the FIM Enel MotoETM World Cup, starting in 2019. The sportbike model, Ego, will be used by teams racing in the FIM Enel MotoETM World Cup in a raceway version.
In April 2022, Energica was acquired by Ideanomics (NASDAQ: IDEX), a global group dedicated to accelerating the commercial adoption of electric vehicles.
